Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
